STATUS:
St Antoine is conceived as a low-density coastal residential enclave set across 17 acres of landscaped terrain in the north of Mauritius. The development brings together a collection of 30 villas alongside apartments and penthouses, all oriented to capture uninterrupted views over the lagoon and surrounding islets. The masterplan balances privacy and openness, structuring the site to maintain visual permeability and a strong connection to its natural context. The architectural language is contemporary and restrained, allowing the landscape to remain the defining element of the project. Clean volumes and a neutral palette are complemented by the use of locally inspired materials such as timber and Mauritian stone, grounding the development within its coastal setting while introducing warmth and texture.Residential layouts are designed around the principles of tropical living, with a strong emphasis on fluid indoor-outdoor relationships. Generous terraces, deep overhangs and expansive openings promote natural light and cross-ventilation, creating comfortable living environments that respond to climate while maintaining privacy and functionality. At the centre of the development, a clubhouse and pool area act as a shared social anchor. Integrated seamlessly within the landscape, this communal space extends the architectural language of the residences and supports a balanced lifestyle between individual retreat and collective experience.St Antoine reflects a considered approach to coastal living—where architecture, landscape and programme are aligned to create a calm, cohesive and contextually grounded residential environment.
